BFL fiber is fine, silky, lustrous and strong - an incredibly versatile fiber. Our BFL yarns are naturally soft but they are also good for items that are subject to wear such as socks, mittens, sweaters and hats. They drape well without heaviness due to the natural crimp of the fiber and, with long staple fibers, these yarns are less prone to pilling than many wools.
Suggested Needle/Hook Sizes and Gauge: Needle Size: 2.5 - 4mm (US 1.5 - 6) needle and C-G Hook Gauge (stocking stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles
Care Instructions: Hand wash using a wool detergent, ideally below 30°C, avoid wringing and twisting. Dry flat out of direct sunlight, do not spin or tumble dry.
